As much as I love to wear styles that are currently trending, I had an urge to put together a classic neutral-combo for this crisp, but sunny, autumn day. The best part of this color palette is that it is season-less and so flexible that anyone can pull it off. Simply find a few cream and caramel pieces, and throw them together with some well-selected accessories to suit the time of year.
This outfit is certainly not trendless; more like an assortment of classics with 2017 details. This blouse from Elizabeth & James is the most flattering top in my closet, and will certainly lend itself to several more rounds of trends. Paired with this camel-colored A-line skirt instantly adds a 60’s/70’s vibe and the blocky-sock heel has this season stamped all over it. To add a touch more “fall,” I added the hat of the moment, the beloved beret, in a chic checked print. It truly is a collection of this year’s trends disguised as basics, and certainly one you could already replicate with a rifle through your closet. If you do, let me know how you take this monotone color scheme, and add an autumn twist!
