Going to London? Don’t Miss these 4 spots!

London Calling

Most of you will have seen via my Instagram and stories that I was in London recently to enjoy a bit of my favorite city. This trip was quite a bit busier than our regular hops over the channel since I am certain that there were more tourists in the streets than actual Londoners. Nevertheless, I full-heartedly enjoyed this trip and wanted to share a few locations that I always visit, no matter the length of my stay!

This small counter inside of Harvey Nichols is a space that I visit on every trip due to their unique collection of Perfumes. Don’t get me wrong, I love Harvey Nichols and always have a peek around the department store as well, but this particular perfume counter is a serious highlight of my trips. Let me preface this by explaining that I collect perfumes and literally feel like the day is incomplete without a few sprits of fragrance. I tend to pick up a fragrance everytime I am in London since the selection is massive and in spots like Avery where each fragrance is completely modern, I can’t miss the opportunity to pick up something that no one else is wearing.

One of my favorite brands in their collection is the line A Lab on Fire. I picked up the one titled “Messy Sexy Just Rolled Out of Bed” which is apparently the best-selling of the entire line, and still unlike any other scent that I have smelled! It is quite warm and just as it suggests, sexy. If you are like me and get the feeling that department store fragrances rarely fit your personality, I highly suggest going through Avery’s curated offerings and let them help you find something exclusive.

If you are are a fan of typical millennial food (aka avocado toast and açaí bowls) then you need to check out Farm Girl. Not only will you be able to shoot your daily #foodenvy for your friends, all of the dishes have been above my expectations. You might be lucky enough to have your smoothie bowl decorated with edible flowers, or find strawberries on top of your avocado toast, or even catch a glimpse of a purple latte that, despite its oddity, you just have to try.

There are a few locations of Farm Girl in London, which makes it a bit easier to run into one of their locations while checking out other shops or attractions in the area. My favorite is the one above Sweaty Betty in Carnaby!

If it wasn’t abundantly clear on my Insta stories, Liberty London is a must-see for the shoppers out there. I will admit that it is a space that would happily visit multiple times in one trip! The most magical part of the experience is the unique exterior and interior design. This is really one of those “you need to see it” moments because my little blog post could never do it justice.

A few notable items are the wooden walls and floors, and the feeling that you are getting lost while still finding new rooms to explore. I have purchased a few items of jewelry and perfume at Liberty, and on my last trip I grabbed one of their exclusive Diptique candles for the fall season titled “Insolite.” Trust me, you need to visit Liberty, and don’t forget to make your way upstairs to the shoe floor. You won’t regret it!

A bridge that needs no introduction, the Tower Bridge is just damn gorgeous and you need to visit on your first trip. And second, and third. It is a stunning view and visible from so many angles along the River Thames that you’ll be able to find a romantic spot away from tourists with just a bit of perseverance.
