My Travel Bucket List

Welcome to my ultimate wishlist! Back in 2016, I had the opportunity to genuinely soak-in Western Europe and experience everything a girl could possibly want to see in her first year living across the pond; Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, and Italy are just a few of the in-reach countries I was able to explore without a lot of logistical planning. However, now that I have a full-time job, traveling has become more difficult to squeeze into my calendar. Most of the places I have listed below require a larger time commitment than just a long weekend away. However, I think that it is feasible to visit these spots over the next two years, so here is my collection of four new areas and countries I would like to see before 2021!

Back in 2012, I had a 24-hour stopover in Stockholm and still remember how magical it was to fly in during the middle of summer; picture lots of soft green hills and glistening small bodies of water. I can not pretend that I saw much of Sweden in that one day, and I would absolutely love to go back and explore. Norway and Denmark are also high on my list, and luckily all of these are relatively close to the Netherlands.

Aside from some of the amazing photos available on Pinterest, I would love to visit Thailand for the food and cultural experience! Countries with beaches and warm weather are already tempting for me, but sometimes it feels like anything is better than the often wet and windy Dutch weather.

Leave your bucket list in the comments below, and don’t forget to add your recommendations for these four locations!

Unfortunately, I do not know a lot about what to see in Hungary, but taking a trip to Budapest is something I would like to do in the near future. I hear about how gorgeous it is to visit, and how it is a must-see in Eastern Europe. If you have some recommendations in Hungary, please let a girl know!

This is in my plans for 2019 – a two-week getaway to Australia! It is so far away from The Netherlands and requires a lot more time for travel, thus less time for actual vacation. However, I do not want to continue to put it off forever just because of the distance so I am bumping it higher on my list and hopefully that will push me to take the plunge!
