4 Dutch Brands You May Not Know About

The Netherlands may be small and barely visible on a world map, but the clothing design scene here absolutely deserves its space in the fashion sphere. When I lived in the U.S., I only discovered new European brands via ASOS, and the majority of these were Scandinavian or from the U.K. While those two areas generate a lot of excellent clothing, it is also fun to discover someone totally new who might be killing it under the radar. Here are four Dutch brands that you (probably) have not heard of, and whose Instagram feeds and web shops are definitely worth your attention!

Yeez Louise

As my most recent discovery and the designer of my t-shirt in this post, it seems appropriate to start off the list. If you need a trending and original printed slogan tee, this is the only stop you will need. I own two of their t-shirts and am completely smitten with the quality and quirky prints!

Scotch & Soda

This is easily the largest of the four brands I have listed in this post, but certainly worth the mention. Their style can be recognized by the tailored items with loud prints, and they are quite proud of their quality denim collections. This boutique-like shop is perfect for when you need something new with a lot to say!

Anecdote

Perhaps my favorite understated brand, this is a great shop for unbeatable basics. I am always lusting after their trousers and blouses, both of which remind me of a cool mix of minimalism meets Italian tailoring.

Fabienne Chapot

A brand for loyal Amsterdam shoppers, this is another fun stop for those searching for a playful print. Their current collection features basic items with cute jungle-themed prints on everything from t-shirts to skirts. Next time you are wandering the crowded walkways of Amsterdam, this needs to be on your to-visit list!
