Since moving to Holland 1.5 years ago, I have been able to enjoy an ease of travel between famous cities that would be unthinkable living in the states. From our home in The Netherlands, Paris is a mere 4-5 hour drive away, and it is just as beautiful as I could have imagined. Especially with the holidays nearby, the city is decked with lights and trees, and the shopping districts have outdone themselves with enormous and flashy decorations. It was a dream to explore the neighborhoods, peek at a few boutiques, and grab a glass of wine on a corner to warm up. We were able to see countless memorable structures, and wander through the endless christmas village right on the Champs-Elysées.
As far as I can say, Paris should always be seen at this time of year. The weather cooperated over our long weekend in paradise, and we were able to wander through the city with ease. This outfit, from our first day out, was perfect for the morning and indoors, but later on I slipped into something a bit warmer as the temperature dropped throughout the day. I couldn’t resist wearing my ruffle top from Zara, which must be one of my most favorite purchases this season. It is the perfect balance of sheer and opaque, and reminds me of some of the beautiful Chloé pieces from this past season. It could easily team with something more sophisticated for an evening out, (imagine: black culottes and some heels!) but also wears so well with my light-wash jeans.
I love hearing what you think in the comments, and stay tuned for another outfit post from Paris coming this week!
